Hi. My name is Kim Zahnow. I am photograph weddings, events, portraits, and brands. With a degree in photography and more than 15 years of experience, I bring a thoughtful eye for light, connection, and the details that make every story unique. My work is rooted in the beauty of West Michigan, from the shoreline and dunes to meaningful everyday places, private homes, celebrations, and destinations far beyond the lakeshore.


Over the course of my career, photography has taken me to more than 20 countries throughout Africa, Central America, Europe, and the United States. These experiences  continue to shape the way I see people, places, and the stories that connect them.


My approach is relaxed, intuitive, and personal. I offer enough direction to help you feel comfortable and confident, while leaving room for real laughter, movement, personality, and unscripted connection. The photographs we create together are genuine, beautifully composed, and unmistakably yours.

I’m so glad you’re here. For over 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing love stories, growing families, milestone moments, businesses, and 70 coffee farms throughout Africa and Central America.  Each has taught me something different, shaping both my technical skill and my artistic eye. One day I photograph the beauty of a wedding and the next the energy of a rock concert.  My strength is noticing a fleeting moment, find beautiful light, and notice the details that tell a deeper story. There’s a lot to explore here. I invite you to take your time, look around, and discover the connections throughout my work. My experience connects in every session, helping me create photographs with intention, feeling, and a perspective that makes them stand apart. Whatever brings you here, I’d love to connect.
